Brian opened the door to the loft and began taking off his tie as he made his way to the bedroom. Justin was sitting on the bed, headphones on and sketching furiously. He hung his suit jacket in the closet before sitting down on the bed.
“Fuck.” Justin jumped slightly. “You scared me,” he said as he pulled the headphones down around his neck.
“Sorry,” Brian said as he untied his shoes. “I’m going to meet the guys at Babylon. Do you want to come with me?”
“I don’t think so,” Justin shook his head. “I have a lot I need to finish before tomorrow.”
“Are you sure?” Brian asked. “It might be fun to get out.”
“Yeah, I’m sure,” Justin answered. “So how was Gus’ play this morning?”
“It was okay; just a bunch of rug rats running around in Halloween costumes.”
“Sounds cute.”
“Oh it was just adorable,” Brian said sarcastically. “Exactly how I wanted to spend my morning.”
“It was for Gus. That must have made it worth it.”
“I guess.”
“Did you take any pictures?” Justin asked as he went to the kitchen and took a bottle of water from the refrigerator.
“Lindsay took enough to fill an album, and Mel filmed every single thing she could. I’ll probably have a stack of pictures on my desk tomorrow morning,” Brian said as he pushed up off the bed and put his shoes away. “That or I’ll have to suffer through an entire evening with her and Mel reliving the whole experience.”
He finished getting undressed and hung his suit in the closet before heading to the shower. The spray was hot as it washed over his body, taking the stress of the day away.
Justin sat on the stool at the counter and reconsidered Brian’s offer for a night out at Babylon. It sounded good, but he didn’t feel like constantly looking over his shoulder, wondering if Ethan was watching him. He already had to deal with it all throughout the day. Eventually he would have to get out, he knew that, but tonight, he just wanted to relax. His stomach grumbled and he reached for the phone.
The door to the bathroom opened and a slick, wet Brian emerged, wrapping a towel around his waist. Justin watched as the older man dried off and got ready for the evening.
“What do you think?” Brian asked as he walked down the steps, a pair of black boots in his hands.
“Hot.” Justin nodded in appreciation, following Brian as he made his way to the sofa.
“Are you sure you don’t want to reconsider?” Brian asked as he zipped up his boots.
“Next time,” Justin promised. “I was actually about to order dinner from Sandeep’s. I’ve been sketching all night, and I lost track of time.”
“I didn’t know you were into arson.” Brian said as he stood up and grabbed his wallet and keys from the desk.
“Huh?”
“Well, you’re gonna have to burn the loft down afterwards,” Brian explained. “It’s the only way to kill the smell.”
“Very funny.” Justin grinned and shook his head. “It’s not that bad.”
“You should try that place on Cobbs. They make excellent Indian food, and it won’t stink up the loft.”
“Alright, alright.” Justin threw his hands up in surrender.
“Well, I’m off. Don’t forget to set the alarm if you go to sleep before I get back.”
“Of course.”
“Later,” Brian said as made his way down the stairs.
“Later.” Justin closed the door and sighed, leaning against it. He ordered his food, and went to the bedroom to retrieve his CD player and sketchbook before stretching out on the sofa. He propped his head on the armrest, and bent his knees so he could set his sketchbook on them.
Living with Brian was amazing; and not as awkward as he thought it would have been. It amused him to watch Brian eat. The older man was so careful about what he consumed. He was going to have to sit him down one day and fix him a real meal.
When he looked at the finished product, he thought he’d be surprised that Brian was staring up at him, but he wasn’t. The sound of the buzzer from the downstairs door brought him out of his thoughts.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
“Hey, Brian!” Michael yelled over the music. “I didn’t think you’d be here tonight.”
“Mikey,” Brian greeted his friend before ordering a beer.
“I figure with the little wife at home you weren’t allowed to come out anymore,” he snarked.
“What the fuck are you talking about?” Brian leaned back against the bar.
“The twink you have fucking living at the loft.”
“What twink?” Emmett asked as he stood next to Michael. He sipped his Cosmo and leaned forward to hear more.
“Justin,” Michael answered, the name on his lips leaving a bad taste in his mouth.
“Are you talking about that cute little thing Brian was eating breakfast with Saturday? Tell me more.”
“I’m gonna go dance.” Michael rolled his eyes and made his way onto the dance floor.
“What was that all about?” Ted asked.
“Oh you know Michael,” Brian answered. He turned back to the bartender and ordered a Jim Beam. If he was going to have to deal with Michael he was going to need something stronger.
“So, Teddy, did you know anything about Brian’s new live in?”
“Actually…”
“Why didn’t you tell me?” Emmett playfully pouted.
“Because Theodore likes his job,” Brian interrupted.
“So, where’s Justin?” Emmett asked as he scanned the room.
“He’s at the loft.”
“You didn’t bring him?”
“He had a project to finish,” Brian answered as he scanned the room for a potential trick. He spotted a dark haired man and finished his drink before going after him.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Emmett asked, grabbing Brian’s forearm.
“I think I’m going to go fuck that guy over there,” Brian answered as he nodded to the trick.
“And what about Justin?”
“What about him?”
“Brian!” Emmett exclaimed.
“Calm down, Honeycutt. Justin and I have an understanding.
“Uh-huh.” Emmett crossed his arms and leaned against the bar. “I bet.”
Brian ignored the comments Emmett was making to Ted and went in search of his trick.
It was never discussed, but Justin was made aware of Brian’s reputation. He didn’t want to sit around and discuss everything. They had just decided to play everything by ear. Talking would just make things more complicated, and having Justin living at the loft made things complicated enough.
He pulled the trick into the backroom, and leaned against the wall. His jeans were pulled down and a warm mouth engulfed his cock. He arched his back and began fucking the trick’s mouth as he tangled his fingers in the full head of hair. Once he felt the tingling in his balls, he pulled the trick up and pushed him against the wall.
He prepared the trick, and rolled a condom on his dick before slamming into the man in one swift thrust. His movements were quick and practiced; though by the moans emanating from the man in front of him, he knew the trick was enjoying every bit of it.
“Oh, God. I’m coming,” the trick moaned right before he shot his load on the wall.
Brian came moments later and pulled out of the man. He tied the condom up and tossed it on the ground before buttoning up his pants.
“That was great,” the man said. “Care for another round at my place?”
“I don’t think so.” Brian turned towards the door and made his way back to the bar where Michael, Ted and Emmett were waiting.
A pair of dark eyes watched Brian rejoin the men at the bar. Ethan’s fists curled at his side and he bit into his lip as he tried to control his anger. He couldn’t understand what was wrong with Kinney. Justin was sitting alone at the loft, and all Brian seemed to want to do was get his dick sucked and fuck strangers. If he had Justin, he’d never betray the blond. He had to get him away from Kinney.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
“Any good?” Michael asked. He smiled, hoping that Brian’s trip to the backroom meant that there would be no more Justin.
“He was alright,” Brian answered. He ordered a bottle of water and downed half of it in one gulp.
“C’mon. Let’s dance.” Michael grabbed the bottle from Brian’s hand and set it on the bar.
“You’re in a better mood,” Brian said as he swayed to the music.
“Babylon will do that to a person.”
“Sure, Mikey.”
They danced for a couple more song before Emmett waved them over.
“I’m famished,” Michael said. “Are you guys ready to go? I want to go to the diner.”
“I’m ready,” Brian said.
“Me, too.” Michael nodded. He grinned when Brian slung his arm around his shoulders. They followed Ted and Emmett out of the club and to the parking lot.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
He watched as the trick walked out of the backroom, fixing the buckle on his belt. A smug, self-satisfied look was on his face as he scanned the crowd. When Ethan turned back to the bar, the four friends were gone.
”Shit!” He raced to the bar and banged on the counter. “Hey! Did Brian Kinney leave?”
“Fuck off,” the bartender said as he picked up the empty shot glasses.
“Tell me!” Ethan exclaimed. “I need to know.” He grabbed the bartender’s arm, his grip surprisingly tight.
The man yanked his arm free and stared at the annoying man. “They said something about going to the diner. Now leave me the fuck alone.”
“The diner,” Ethan repeated to himself. “Have to get to the diner.”
He rushed to his car, and parked one street over from the diner. The wind picked up and he tugged the black toboggan over his ears before shoving his hands into the pockets on his jacket.
The bell above the door rang as he pushed the door to the diner open. He slid in the corner booth and ordered a cup of coffee. He recognized the two men Brian was talking with earlier, and the man’s cocky voice grated on his ears. He propped his elbow on the table, and leaned his head against the open palm, as he looked out the window. Hopefully he could listen without being noticed.

“So what will it be, boys?” Debbie asked as she took her pen and pad out of her apron.
“I want a cheeseburger, French fries, a chocolate shake, and some apple pie,” Michael read off the menu.
“Okay…Emmett, what about you?”
“Nothing for me, thanks.”
“Em, honey, you should try to eat some of your protein off a plate,” Debbie said, laughing.
“I read that for every 30 lbs you lose, you gain an entire inch of cock,” Emmett explained.
“What about the rest of you boys?”
“Nothing for me,” Ted said as he handed Debbie the menu.
“Yeah, I think I’m gonna cancel my order, too,” Michael said. “Just bring me some more water, please.”
“Brian?” Debbie asked.
“Just give me some lemon bars to go, Deb,” Brian said.
“You don’t like lemon bars,” Michael exclaimed. “Why the fuck would you want them?”
“I just do, Mikey.”
“They’re for him aren’t they?” Michael shook his head in disgust and crossed his arms. “It’s a good thing I canceled my order, I think I just lost my appetite.”
“What exactly is my son talking about?” Debbie asked Brian, he hand rested on her hip.
“Justin is staying at the loft. I thought he might like some lemon bars,” Brian said.
“Justin? You aren’t talking about that kid you brought in here the other day, are you?”
“One and the same.”
“What the fuck is he doing at the loft?”
“None of your business, Deb,” Brian said. “Can I get my lemon bars now?”
“Not so fast, kiddo. You’re bringing him to dinner tomorrow?”
“And why would I do that?”
“Because, if he is apart of your life, we have a right to get to know him,” Debbie said. “Tomorrow night, my house, 7:00 o’clock. You two better be there.”
“Fine, Deb.” Brian sighed. He might as well give in now. There was no way she was going to give up. “I’ll ask him. And if he says yes, then we’ll be there tomorrow.”
“Make sure you are. Now, let me get those lemon bars for you.”
